A Japanese schooling

Trained in industrial automation at a technical school that was part of a Japanese-Turkish pilot programme, established with JICA, Japan's development agency. Japanese machines, Japanese instructors and above all the Japanese conviction that precision is a form of respect.

2006–2011 · PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY

The engine room of a factory

Control-systems team leader at Bilim Pharmaceuticals. Everything a smart home contains existed there at factory scale: Honeywell climate control, access control and IP cameras, energy monitoring down to the current clamps, the plant network and telephony, plus the automated warehouse and packaging lines that were never allowed to stop. Once you have brought a production line back to life at three in the morning, you never look at technology carelessly again.

2011–2020 · ACROSS THE GLOBE

Traceability for pharma

As project manager and consultant, responsible for serialisation and traceability projects for Teva (thirteen plants), Gilead, Biogen, Pfizer and others, from the United States and Brazil to Korea and China. The craft: making software, machines and networks behave as one system, usually inside plants that already existed. Strict validation, no room for nearly-right.

2020–2023 · INTERNATIONAL

Leading implementations

Director of Professional Services and later Director of Strategic Customers at Advanco, a leading L3 serialisation vendor, including the COVID-19 vaccine serialisation project at Thermo Fisher Scientific; also Deputy CEO Technical at Advanco LT, until 2023. The lesson that stuck: projects succeed on a clear plan, clean documentation and one accountable owner.

2023–PRESENT · FOUNDER

Tracius

Founded Tracius, a product-traceability and compliance platform (the Tracius Traceability Hub): nearly twenty years of pharma traceability distilled into one standards-native product. Building it sharpened the software half of the craft: clean integrations, and dashboards people enjoy using. Tracius runs alongside this practice today.

The conviction behind this practice is simple: a home deserves the same care as a cleanroom. Designed as a whole, built on open standards, documented as if an audit were coming, and so self-evident that you never have to think about it.

First at ours, then at yours

Besides being an engineer, Hasan is an incorrigible maker. Every house he has lived in became as smart as its era allowed, each one through a different stack. The workshop list is long: engines, lighting of every kind (from bicycle lamps to architectural LED), 3D printing, woodworking, and finishes and coatings of every sort. That curiosity now has one address: his own house, the Lab Home, with over 1200 data points across 18 zones. For larger projects, Drebbel Automation works with a small, trusted network of certified installation partners and specialists. It stays personal, without ever becoming amateur.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

In 1572, in Alkmaar, ten minutes from where this practice now sits, Cornelis Drebbel was born. Inventor, instrument maker, employed by kings. He built an incubator regulated by a mercury thermostat: the first machine in the world that regulated itself, centuries before the word "automation" existed.

The same Drebbel also built the first navigable submarine, sailing beneath the Thames with King James I on board. A man who did what everyone said could not be done, and then simply made it work.

Four centuries later, we carry his idea forward: technology that regulates itself, does its work quietly and gives people peace of mind. Hence the name. Hence the standard.
